In This Family Communication Principal Message Important Dates OBOB Update Yearbook Information Parent Input on 8th Grade Math Placement (Repeat Announcement) Message from PTO Community FlyersPrincipal Message: I am writing this as we wrap up our second school dance of the year. We have had so many positive community building events recently; I am so proud of the Pauling Pride. We had high participation in the boys basketball season that just finished and we have 200! student athletes signed up to participate in Track and Field. Our OBOB competition just finished with large participation and of course the Greek Olympics was a blast. None of this is possible without huge efforts from staff and volunteers. I appreciate the work that goes into these events and look forward to future happenings. In the near future our current 8th graders will be choosing their high school classes and Trimester 2 comes to a close. We will start Trimester 3 with a special schedule where students will start the day in their Pride class for a slightly longer Pride class and then go to all 6 classes. Students will receive their Trimester 3 schedule in their Pride class at the beginning of the day. I hope that students can build on the skills they have learned and finish the year strong. Go Pride!Sincerely, Greg Hyde, PrincipalImportant Dates: School Calendar (English, Spanish) March 8th: Deadline for late assignment turn in. OBOB is available as a student club at LP starting in October, in case any students are interested for next year! They can join as an individual or with a team. This year we had 45 students participate and team Sour Stingrays competed hard all the way to the finals. Team Toad in a Bun ended up being the finals winner and they will go on to compete in the Regional OBOB competition in Dallas Oregon on March 16th. Congratulations to all the Linus Pauling students who read and competed and best of luck to Toad in a Bun next weekend.Yearbook Information Greetings Linus Pauling parents! It's that time again!
